About PBUS
The Professional Bail Agents of the United States (PBUS) is the professional organization that represents the 14,000 bail agents nationwide. Since its founding in 1981, PBUS and its alliance with state associations have advanced the profession through legislative advocacy, professional networking, continuing education, support of bail agent certification, enhanced liability insurance and development of a code of ethics.
Legislation
PBUS strategically represents your interests at the National and State levels to help influence public policy in favor of commercial bail. Contact is maintained with elected leaders, criminal justice coalitions, federal agencies, and other national organizations.
Meetings
The PBUS conferences and workshops bring to the table the latest information from nationally recognized bail professionals and researchers. PBUS conducts two annual conventions - a winter meeting in February of each year in Las Vegas and a summer meeting held in a different location each year. All bail agents, as well as law enforcement, prosecutors, judicial officials and state regulatory officials are invited to these meetings.
